Novosco secured a top IT accolade in the same week as our managing director has been shortlisted for a prestigious all-island award for entrepreneurs.
We won 'IT Company or Team of the Year' at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards – topping a category that included businesses such as Allstate and Export Technologies - whilst Patrick McAliskey is in the running for EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
Patrick is one of 24 leading business people from across the island selected to compete in three categories of the competition, with the winners to be announced in October. The overall winner will go on to represent Ireland at World Entrepreneur of the Year in Monaco in June 2018.
As part of the awards, the finalists will take part in a 10-month development programme. They will also join more than 70 other entrepreneurs for a week-long “CEO Retreat” to San Francisco later this month.
The Belfast Telegraph Business Awards, in partnership with Ulster Bank, took place at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Belfast on Thursday evening. They are Northern Ireland’s leading industry awards, attracting hundreds of entries.
Commenting, Managing Director, Patrick McAliskey, said: “I’m honoured to be shortlisted for EY Entrepreneur of the Year, but much more importantly, I’m thrilled that the work, dedication and skills of our team have been recognised by the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards. They produce truly world-class work for some of the largest public and private sector organisations on these islands, and winning the award is fitting recognition for that.”
In an impressive month for us here at Novosco, having also been shortlisted for Cloud Partner of the Year in the 2017 Tech Excellence Awards, with the winners to be announced in Dublin later this month.
